The traditional Black Russian cocktail is strangely simple and timeless. This cocktail adds some sweetened, chilled espresso to the mix.
The recipe below makes one very strong cocktail.

Wired Black Russian

- 1 Tbsp white granulated sugar
- 1.5 oz Vodka of choice
- 1.5 oz Kahlua
Instructions
- Take 1oz of hot espresso and add the 1 Tbsp white granulated sugar.
- Stir to combine.
- Chill the sweetened espresso in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Add ice to rocks glass.
- Add the chilled espresso, Vodka, and Kahlua on top of ice.
- Stir and enjoy.
Notes
I also love this recipe when you use sweetened condensed milk instead of white granulated sugar to mix with the espresso before cooling it down. I have used white granulated sugar in the recipe above simply because it is more common in household pantries.
