When fall arrives, it seems everything becomes pumpkin-flavored, especially beverages and sweets. If you like a latte when a chill hits the air, you will love this winter pumpkin spice potion, perfect for drinking by a warm fire.
INGREDIENTS - PUMPKIN SPICE
- 3 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp nutmeg ((fresh ground if possible))
- 1 tsp all spice
- ½ tsp cloves ((more if you like the flavor))
INGREDIENTS PUMPKIN SYRUP
- 2 c water
- ½ c light brown sugar
- ½ c white sugar
- 1 tbsp pumpkin spice
- 4 tbsp pumpkin puree
INGREDIENTS - PUMPKIN POTION
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 shots of dark coffee
- Whipped cream

Put both types of sugar in a pan with the water.
Simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves
Add the pie spice and puree into the sugar
Continue simmering everything for 20 minutes.
Remove from the heat and strain
INSTRUCTIONS - PUMPKIN POTION
Place 3 tbsp pumpkin syrup into a coffee mug
Add the dark coffee
Stir gently
Froth the milk
Pour it over the coffee mixture
Top the coffee with a hardy dollop of whipped cream
If you wish, dust the whipped cream with pumpkin spice
