Set your oven at 400F
Slice the potatoes into ½ pieces
Put the potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
Cover them evenly in oil, followed by salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
When everything is mixed together thoroughly, lay out the potatoes in a SINGLE layer on a baking dish (use parchment paper to save on cleanup)
Cook for about 35 minutes, turning after 15 minutes, until golden and fork tender.
Top the potatoes with cheese and bacon
Broil until the cheese melts
Serve with sour cream and green onions
