This cocktail mixes the industry classic Fernet with some Rye Whiskey and Cointreau, along with Angostura bitters and simple syrup. This following recipe is for 2-3 large drinks.
Ingredients
2ozFernet Branca
1ozRye Whiskey
½ozCointreau
3dashes of Angostura bitters
Juice from ½ lime
½ozsimple syrup
A wheel of orange(as garnish)
Instructions
Combine the ingredients above in a shaker tin with ice.
Shake for 15 seconds, or until the ingredients are completely chilled.
Strain into a chilled martini class.
Place the wheel of orange in the cocktail, and serve.
Notes
Fernet is an acquired taste, due to the quantity of botanicals and herbs used in the creation process. If you like interesting spirits with deep and interesting flavors, try it out.
