Air-Fryer Bacon with Eggs

For those of you who are clamoring for air fryer recipes, here is a super simple breakfast with bacon cooked in the air fryer. The bacon is served with some sunny-side-up eggs.
The following recipe serves 2-3 people.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 slices bacon (depending on the size of your air fryer)
  • 2 Tbsp whole butter
  • 6 whole eggs
  • ½ tsp Kosher salt
  • A few grinds of black pepper
  • Ketchup (for serving with the eggs.)
  • Buttered toast (for serving with the eggs.)

Instructions

  • Heat the air fryer to 400F.
  • Arrange the slices of bacon on the rack in the air fryer in a single layer.
  • Cook the bacon at first for 4 minutes, and then carefully flip the slices over.
  • Continue to cook the bacon for an additional 2-4 minutes, or until the bacon slices are cooked to your desired doneness level.
  • Remove the cooked bacon from the air fryer, and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Melt your butter in a large nonstick saute pan over medium heat.
  • When the butter is melted, drop in the whole eggs, leaving space between each egg as best you can.
  • Reduce the heat to low.
  • Season the surface of the eggs with some Kosher salt & freshly-ground black pepper.
  • *You can cook the eggs in batches if they don’t fit inside your pan at the same time.
  • When the whites of the eggs are cooked and the yolks of the eggs are still runny, remove them carefully from the saute pan, and transfer them to serving plates.
  • Serve the eggs with the bacon that you cooked earlier.
  • Add some ketchup, if desired. And maybe some buttered toast.

Notes

Technically, air fryers aren’t really frying anything. It’s a convection oven of sorts.
