This drink is a bit flashy, and requires some pricey ingredients. There is currently a bit of a shortage of Green Chartreuse around the world, so if you come across a bottle in the store, consider stocking up. I love Green Chartreuse for its uniquely herbaceous, bitter, yet balanced flavor profile. If you plan to light the Bacardi in this recipe on fire, kindly make sure the fire is extinguished before drinking it. This following recipe makes 1 cocktail.
Ingredients
1.5ozGreen Chartreuse
1ozLuxardo Maraschino Originale liqueur
½ozlime juice
¼ozsimple syrup
½ozBacardi 151(floated on top)
A spoon
A lighter or match
Instructions
Mix the Green Chartreuse, Luxardo Masaschino, lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker tin with ice.
Shake for 15 seconds, and then strain the contents into a martini glass.
Hold a cocktail spoon upside down over the glass close to the liquid (with the curved bottom facing up), and gently pour the Bacardi 151 over the spoon, so it gently floats onto the top of the cocktail.
Light the Bacardi 151 on fire.
Wait for flames to be extinguished, or blow them out, before enjoying.
Notes
Feel free to skip the step of setting the float of Bacardi 151 on fire. It’s dangerous.
