This garlic & herb butter tastes fantastic when slathered over some freshly-baked bread in this morning!
Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic, very finely minced, and then smashed into a paste
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- 2 sticks salted butter, softened at room temperature
- ¼ cup fresh chives, very finely sliced
- ¼ cup fresh dill, finely minced
- 3 Tbsp fresh parsley leaves, finely minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh tarragon leaves, finely minced
Instructions
- Finely mince the garlic and combine with the kosher salt while the minced garlic is still on your cutting board.
- Push the garlic into the cutting board with the back of your knife, forming a “garlic paste”.
- Continue to smash your garlic and scrape it against the cutting board with the back of your knife until it has formed a smooth paste.
- Combine the pasted garlic with the softened butter, fresh chives, fresh dill, fresh parsley, and fresh tarragon.
- Work the herbs and garlic into the butter until all of the added ingredients are uniformly distributed throughout the softened butter mixture.
- Place in refrigerator to cool down for whenever you are ready to use some.
