This dessert cocktail takes a bit longer to prepare, as you need to mix the peanut
butter with the sugar and warm whole milk before chilling and serving. If you
shake the cocktail hard in the shaker tin with ice, you end up with a lovely layer of
foam on top of each cocktail.
Peanut Butter Espresso Martini
Ingredients
- ½ cup whole milk
- 2 Tbsp white granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp creamy peanut butter
- 4 oz Kahlúa (chilled)
- 4 oz espresso (chilled)
- 6 oz vodka of choice (chilled)
- 12 honey-roasted peanuts (as garnish)
- 12 chocolate-covered coffee beans (as garnish)
Instructions
- Chill four Martini glasses in the freezer.
- Heat the whole milk and white granulated in a small saucepan on the stove until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- In a small glass, add the creamy peanut butter, along with a spoonful or two of the sweetened milk mixture.
- Stir until the milk and peanut butter are fully combined, and then add more milk, until you have used all the warm milk and combined it fully with the peanut butter.
- Combine this sweetened peanut butter milk with the Kahlúa, espresso, and vodka, and stir to fully combine.
- Chill the contents down in the fridge.
- When you are ready to serve, transfer the contents to a shaker tin with ice.
- Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- Strain into the chilled martini glasses, and garnish each glass with 3 honey-roasted peanuts and 3 chocolate-covered coffee beans.
