If you have a porch with some rocking chairs and a neighbor who likes bourbon, prepare a few of these cocktails and invite them over for a drink before dinner.
This cocktail recipe below makes two cocktails, with some extra honey syrup leftover.

Bourbon Rocking Chair
Ingredients
For the Honey Syrup:
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup water
For the Remaining Cocktail Ingredients:
- 5 oz Bourbon, (or whiskey of choice)
- 2 oz freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1 oz freshly-squeezed orange juice
- 2 Honey Syrup
- 4 pineapple chunks, (as garnish)
- 2 maraschino cherries, (as garnish )
Instructions
- For the honey syrup, combine the honey and water in a small sauce pot on the stove and warm up.
- Whisk to combine.
- Pour into a squeeze bottle and store in your fridge for whenever you want to use this for cocktail making or cooking.
- When you are ready to assemble the cocktails, combine the Bourbon, freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice and orange juice, and the honey syrup, and mix to combine.
- Pour into rocks glasses over ice, and garnish with pineapple chunks and maraschino cherries.
