This classic cocktail has been around since World War I, where it was created at a bar in Paris by a bartender named Harry.
It is easy to make with a handful of ingredients, although you need chilled champagne, or a sparkling wine of some sort. Try using a prosecco, and save yourself some cash!

Ingredients
- 1 oz gin of your preference
- ½ oz lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- 2 oz champagne (chilled)
- A twist of lemon (as garnish)
Instructions
- Combine the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker tin with ice.
- Stir until the ingredients are fully incorporated and chilled.
- Strain the cocktail into a chilled champagne glass.
- Top with chilled champagne, garnish with the lemon twist, and serve.
