Ingredients

  • 1 oz gin of your preference
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz champagne (chilled)
  • A twist of lemon (as garnish)

Instructions

  • Combine the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker tin with ice.
  • Stir until the ingredients are fully incorporated and chilled.
  • Strain the cocktail into a chilled champagne glass.
  • Top with chilled champagne, garnish with the lemon twist, and serve.

Notes

If you are looking for other alternatives to Champagne that are affordable, ask your local wine store. There are also “Champagne-style” sparkling wines sold that come from outside of France which are lovely as well.
