This classic cocktail has been around since World War I, where it was created at a bar in Paris by a bartender named Harry. It is easy to make with a handful of ingredients, although you need chilled champagne, or a sparkling wine of some sort. Try using a prosecco, and save yourself some cash! This following recipe is for 1 cocktail.

½ozlemon juice
½ozsimple syrup
2ozchampagne(chilled)
A twist of lemon(as garnish)

Notes
If you are looking for other alternatives to Champagne that are affordable, ask your local wine store. There are also “Champagne-style” sparkling wines sold that come from outside of France which are lovely as well.
