Are you tired of serving the same old beverages whenever someone comes over? Why not try something new? This Figgy Puggy Potable tastes great and leaves people scratching their heads trying to figure out the ingredients. The only downside is that you have to start the recipe one week ahead of your event.

Figgy Pudding Potable
Ingredients
- 750 ml vanilla or orange vodka
- 2 whole vanilla beans
- ¾ cup dried figs
- 1 ⅓ cup almonds
- 4 ¼ cups whole milk
- 3 cups ice cubes
- Heavy cream
- Ground cinnamon & mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- You’ll need a medium-sized jug (which holds 10 cups or more) and muslin for straining.
- Pour the vodka into the jug (keep the empty bottle aside).
- Slice the vanilla beans in half and put them in the jug.
- Dice the figs, and likewise, add them to the jug.
- Cover the jug. If it doesn’t have a plug or lid, use plastic wrap to securely cover the top.
- Leave at room temperature for 2-3 days.
- Place the almonds and milk in a blender. You want the almonds chopped fine.
- Transfer the almond milk to a food-safe container, and put it in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
- Get out a medium mixing bowl, and strain the vodka mixture into it.
- Take out the vanilla beans. Put the figs aside.
- Pour the now-flavored vodka back into its original bottle and close it.
- Strain the almond milk into the now empty jug. Refrigerate.
- Fill each glass with ⅔ cup of milk and ¼ vodka. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon and decorate with a mint leaf.
