Are you interested in spicing up your traditional deviled egg recipe? The use of additional jalapenos and cayenne pepper in this recipe adds a spicy kick to these fiery deviled eggs.
Ingredients
2small jalapeno peppers, finely minced
12whole eggs, hard boiled
3Tbspmayonnaise
1/4cupDijon mustard
2Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3Tbsp softened butter
1tsplemon juice
1tsporiginal Tabasco sauce
3 freshly chopped chives
½tspground cayenne pepper
Kosher salt & freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Hard boil eggs and leave in ice water.
Peel eggs in ice water and rinse off any extra pieces of shell.
Cut in boiled eggs in half and carefully remove the cooked yolks from the cooked whites.
Reserve egg white halves for later while you prepare the filling.
For the filling, mix the egg yolks with the jalapenos peppers, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, olive oil, softened butter, lemon juice, 2 Tbsp chopped chives, and Tabasco sauce.
You can blend this egg yolks mixture in a food processor if you want a creamier end result with less texture.
Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with salt and freshly-ground black pepper.
Place the contents into a plastic piping bag.
Pipe the filling carefully into the center of the egg whites.
Sprinkle cayenne powder over the top of the filling. Sprinkle with remaining freshly chopped chives and serve.

Adjust the quantity of jalapeno & cayenne pepper used in this recipe based on your desired heat level.
