Set the two side burners of your grill to medium (375F), leaving the center one off.
Place the pie crust on a piece of parchment paper
Slice the apples thinly and put them in a bowl
Toss them with the lemon, brown sugar, walnuts and spices
Carefully lay the apples down 1 ½ inches away from the border so they create a spiral.
Fold the dough over the top of the apples. You can use the parchment to keep your hands from sticking.
Whisk water and egg together
Brush it evenly over the dough
Sprinkle the top with Hawaiian sugar
Place the parchment on a tray and put it in the grill
Cover
Grill for 40 minutes - 1 hr until the crisp is golden brown.
